Our attendance rate is higher now than it was last year at this time! This increase in attendance wouldn't be possible without the dedication and commitment of our incredible parents and students. Your consistent presence at school is making a real difference! Let's keep up the momentum and continue to prioritize attendance because every day counts towards success. Together we can strive for even better attendance. Let's do better together!

This is not all the bus drivers but we want to thank McDonald's for helping us appreciate our drivers! They were able to enjoy breakfast this morning after their route. Driving these buses is not an easy job and we definitely appreciate the hard work and time they put in to get our kids to school and home safely! If you would like to join our wonderful team of bus drivers please contact our central office!

The SCA Math and Science Competition took place at the end of February, and the results are in. Liberty placed 2nd overall, scoring just 7 points behind Thayer! There were several students who scored 1st and 2nd in their respective categories. There were also several students who earned points for their school by scoring in the top 10. These students worked extremely hard, so let's congratulate them on their success. A big thank you to Mr. Daniels for treating the participants to pizza and to West Plains Bank for rewarding the winners with ice cream sundaes on Wednesday.

🏆✨ We are thrilled to announce that our February Teacher of the Month is none other than Mrs. Janiece Wilbanks! 🎉 Mrs. Wilbanks has been selected by her peers as an exemplary teacher, and it's no surprise given the outstanding feedback she's received. Here's what her colleagues had to say: 🌟 "Student engagement in Mrs. Wilbanks's classroom is phenomenal." 🌟 "She has a big job handling the 8th-grade kids, and she has done it very well." 🌟 "Janiece made a big move to 8th-grade Math! She is passionate about her new position and always goes above and beyond to prepare for her students." 🌟 "Janiece knows the content and is very good at presenting it in the classroom. She keeps them actively engaged from the time the bell rings to the end of class." 🌟 "Mrs. Wilbanks embodies the qualities of patience, preparation, organization, and a proactive spirit in her teaching approach." 🌟 "Janiece forces students to think on their own. She does not give them the answer, and she doesn’t fluff it up for them." Mrs. Wilbanks's dedication, enthusiasm, and innovative teaching methods make her an invaluable asset to our school community. We are incredibly grateful to have her on our team, and we want to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for her hard work and positive energy. Congratulations, Mrs. Wilbanks! 🎉👏 Thank you for everything you do to inspire and educate our students. You truly make a difference! #TeacherOfTheMonth #InspiringEducation #LMSFamily 🍎📚 This Month's Sponsor was Alton Bank, Birch Tree Branch

On February 27th and 28th Paige McBride and Teytam McClellan participated in FCCLA Legislative Shadowing at our state capitol. Only 48 Juniors and Seniors across Missouri’s FCCLA chapters were chosen for this event. While at the capitol, they spent the day in the office of their designated legislator. They got a firsthand glimpse of how our state government operates daily, were able to view the house in session, and toured the Supreme Court Building. We are incredibly proud of how Paige and Teytam represented MVBT and FCCLA at the capitol!

Mark your calendars! Elementary Spring Music Concert for MVE and BTE will be held on the evening of March 22nd at Liberty High School. We're excited to get ALL elementary students together in a venue large enough to hold our student body and patrons from our communities! You'll see on the flyer that the grade levels are divided into two different time slots to allow some time for parents of young students to leave during intermission if you so choose. We look forward to seeing everyone on March 22nd!
