We want to inform you that we have become aware of a rumor circulating on social media regarding a potential threat . Following a thorough investigation we have found no credible evidence of any danger.
While this instance appears to hold no merit and impacts another school in the state rather than ours, we at Mountain View-Birch Tree want to assure our public that we are vigilant in watching what is going on in and around our district to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community always.
We are extremely grateful when citizens report a concern and our practice is to investigate all safety matters. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our schools safe!
Please read the attached letter and the additional requests.

Our 8th graders learned all about citing textual evidence to make inferences. To put their skills to the test, they tackled a mystery—figuring out who stole Mrs. Henry's garden gnome! Each class successfully solved the case while sharpening their ability to cite evidence and make inferences.

**IT Appreciation Day**
Today, we're giving a big, heartfelt shoutout to Mike McAfee and Mason Tharp—our tech support superheroes! 🦸♂️💻 All of our buildings celebrated these guys today
Mike and Mason, you don’t just fix our tech issues; you somehow manage to do it with a sense of humor that keeps us from losing our minds over the next “spinning wheel of doom” or “why won’t this work?” moment. Your patience and problem-solving skills are truly superhuman!
Thanks for being our go-to tech wizards and for making even our most frustrating tech problems seem like just another adventure.

Our students and staff are soaring to new heights every day! Keep up the amazing work, LMS Eagles!

I want to assure you that our School Resource Officer (SRO) and school officials have thoroughly investigated this matter. Thankfully, we have found no credible evidence to suggest any danger to our students or staff. Your children’s safety is our absolute priority, and while we believe the situation to be under control, we are taking extra precautions. Out of an abundance of caution, we will be increasing our vigilance on campus, and we have alerted local and county law enforcement to be on standby, should we need their assistance.
