She Had All Her Ducks in a Row… One Last Time!
Miss Destiny wrapped up our final Duck Hunt of the year with a record-breaking 30 ducks hidden throughout LMS!
Students have loved the thrill of the hunt all year during Flourishing and Focused Fridays, and today’s grand finale didn’t disappoint.
Thanks, Miss Destiny, for bringing the fun—and the ducks!

Congratulations to Liberty Eagles Korie Lind, Gavin Reese, and Landon Hines. They will all be furthering their education and athletics in college. Congratulations to these excellent student athletes.

Miss Maleia Beavers will be joining the Mountain View Birch Tree School District as director of vocal music, where she will teach both middle and high school choir. Miss Beavers brings her passion for the arts and creative learning to her new role. She is currently enrolled as an online exclusive student with Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) pursuing her BS in Psychology with a focus in Child Development and Childhood Trauma. She is certified in the state of Missouri as a substitute and paraprofessional teacher.
While she has not been able to participate in music courses as a college student, Miss Beavers had a very involved extracurricular schedule during her middle and high school years. Miss Beavers participated for three years in middle school choir and four years in select chorus, performing at a variety of events including concerts, National Anthem performances at home sports events, select chorus state contest, and solo and ensemble contest. Miss Beavers' most cherished memories of being in the choir include singing the National Anthem with the select chorus at a Saint Louis Cardinals game, annual senior rewards for graduating students, and qualifying with ensemble groups for state multiple times. Her dedication and leadership were reflected in her role as alto section leader during her junior and senior years. Outside of the choir department, Miss Beavers also participated in band and theatre. In these extracurricular activities Miss Beavers served as section leader and first chair of the flutes in band and Stage Manager of two theatrical productions in the theatre. She was recognized as a member of both the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the International Thespian Society.
Miss Beavers will be moving to the area this summer with her fiance, and is excited to become Mrs. Redden this October. She is eager to create a space where students can grow as strong musicians and people, taking vital life skills with them from unforgettable experiences and applying them beyond the walls of Liberty schools. Her goals include building an enriching, dynamic and well-rounded vocal music program at Mountain View Birch Tree School District and a powerful connection to her new community.

GOAT Alert!
Mrs. Wilbanks has passed the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) award to none other than Ms. Shelby Yarber!
“I chose Shelby Yarber for the GOAT award because she truly cares about her students and wants all of them to succeed. Her willingness to do whatever she can to help others, her passion for wanting students to understand math, and her creativity in making math exciting for her students shows that she deserves this award.”
Way to go, Ms. Yarber! Your dedication and energy make a difference every day.

Our Life Skills class has been busy (and tasty) lately!
We made sour grapes last week for a sweet and tangy snack, followed by pepperoni pizza roll-ups in the air fryer—quick, crispy, and delicious!
And we broke in our brand-new griddle with some golden, gooey grilled cheese sandwiches. Learning life skills never tasted so good!

Congratulations to Liberty Eagle Gavin Reese, he and the Eagles with a nice win over Alton yesterday. Gavin threw a no hitter, complete game, 95 pitches.

Another milestone reached—2,000 more IReady reading lessons completed!
We celebrated with a drawing today, and an amazing 7th grader took home a $50 gift card courtesy of Connolly Insurance. A huge thank you to Connolly Insurance for supporting academics and encouraging our students to keep growing.
