Just because it’s not an official spirit day doesn't mean our students can’t show their school pride! It’s awesome to see students showing their school spirit and representing MVBT and LMS with pride. Your enthusiasm makes our school community stronger! Keep showing that spirit — every day is a great day to be an EAGLE! 🦅 ❤️💙 #TheLMSway

Power has been restored at MVE.

The power is currently out at Mountain View Elementary. The City of Mountain View is working to restore it as soon as possible.
Please note that our phones are down while the electricity is out. If you need to get a message to a student or staff member, you will need to stop by the school in person.
We appreciate your patience and hope to have power back soon! We will send another message when the power is restored.

Baking, Cooking, and Life Skills in Action! 🍪🍕🎲☘️
Mrs. Moore’s class has been busy learning hands-on skills that will last a lifetime! Students baked delicious cookies, made tortilla pizzas topped with their choice of cheeses, pepperoni, and Canadian bacon, and even practiced sorting, folding, and putting away laundry—thanks to Mr. Leon, who taught them how to wash it last Friday. They also added a little St. Patrick’s Day fun with dice activities!

8th grade math students reviewed properties of exponent in an Amazing Race style competition. Students were put into teams and had to complete math tasks in order to move forward in the competition. Along the way students were met with speed bumps, detours, and roadblocks they had to overcome before continuing on in the race. Teamwork and math skills powered students forward as they tackled each challenge to reach the finish line!

Life at LMS!
Over the past few days, we’ve celebrated our students’ hard work with ice cream and snowcone incentives for AR and positive behavior. With the beautiful weather, some of our classes have taken the opportunity to enjoy a good book outside.
Our teachers are always learning too—exploring new strategies to make the classroom even better. Plus, a big shout-out to our student leaders who have been kicking off our mornings with the daily announcements!

LMS G.O.A.T. Award
The LMS G.O.A.T. Award was presented to Mrs. Beth Ann Davis by the previous G.O.A.T.s, Mr. Tipton and Mrs. Bryant. Here is what they had to say:
"Mrs. Davis is a superhero counselor for LMS. She is kind, compassionate, and serves as the main source of continuity for students amidst changes and challenges both inside and outside of school. Mrs. Davis also provides a listening ear not only to students but to staff as well, in times of need. Her ability to find ways to reach all of our students—from those who need gentle nudges and support to those requiring one-on-one guidance—is truly remarkable. Mrs. Davis's dedication and deep understanding of our students make her an invaluable part of the Liberty Middle School community."
Congratulations, Mrs. Davis! Thank you for all you do! 🎉 #TheLMSWay

Mr. Johnson caught an awesome moment of kindness in action! 🙌 A small mess was made and it was quickly cleaned up by our students. Mr. Leon enjoyed the small break! This small act of responsibility and care makes a BIG difference in keeping our school a great place for everyone. ❤️💙 #TheLMSway

It's Teacher Proud Tuesday!
This month, we’re celebrating Ms. Kelsey Karr!
Ms. Karr began her teaching journey at Mountain View Elementary five years ago as a 3rd grade teacher, and she’s been making a difference ever since. She loves teaching at MVE because of the unwavering support from administration and the joy of working alongside her best friend!
Her favorite part of teaching? Watching students grow—not just academically, but into the individuals they were meant to be. Her love for her students and her passion for teaching shine through every day!
Thank you, Ms. Karr, for bringing so much joy to students at MVE!

In 7th grade Social Studies with Ms. Daniels, students engaged in a creative and informative project titled "Produce the News." They designed their own one-page newspapers, selecting from topics such as Europe’s First People, Farming, and The Bronze Age. Using their geography books, they crafted news-style articles as if reporting on these historical events in real time. Students incorporated key vocabulary, provided detailed explanations, and included visuals to enhance their storytelling. This hands-on activity encouraged exploration, critical thinking, and creativity while reinforcing their understanding of European history. #TheLMSWay

Congratulations to our LMS third-quarter perfect attendance winner, 7th grader Khloey Underwood!
Khloey’s commitment to showing up every day earned her a pair of Beats earbuds—way to go, Khloey! We’re proud of your dedication and can’t wait to see who will win next quarter!

Keep up the amazing work and let’s keep pushing our learning limits! #TheLMSWay
