Save the Date!

The Back to School Kickoff Committee spent the day shopping. They would like to thank the amazing manager/employees at the Walmart on Independence in Springfield. They went above and beyond to help them! From counting thousands of supplies, digging them out of the back and even wheeling them out to the car to help load! They were so thankful for their help today!
School supply lists will be updated soon!

Students and staff, please plan ahead! There are several days we are NOT in session this year. Please plan your future appointments and vacations on these dates to ensure you maintain excellent attendance. Let's continue to strive for less than 5 absences throughout the year. Let’s work together to make every school day count!

Earlier this week, Teresa Miley, the beloved retired secretary of Birch Tree Elementary and current secretary substitute at Mountain View-Birch Tree School District, was honored with the prestigious "Above and Beyond" award by Senator Bean and Representative Travis Smith.
Teresa has touched the lives of hundreds of families in our school district and is a true community hero. She leads an addiction recovery group in Birch Tree and participates in numerous community events. Teresa’s compassion and leadership have made a lasting impact on all who know her. She is one of the most compassionate ladies you will ever meet, a true leader, and our very own hometown hero!
Thank you, Teresa, for making such a positive difference in the Birch Tree community. Your dedication and kindness inspire us all. We also want to extend our gratitude to Herman Kelly and Tara Reed for organizing this wonderful presentation.

Congratulations, Shelly Mantel!

We will soon bid farewell to our longtime Maintenance Director, Roger Gall. He retires at the end of June & we are sending him off in the way he prefers; a fish fry with colleagues. Roger has been an integral part of the MVBT district for a very long time. We will miss him greatly but wish him nothing but health & happiness in retirement! Thank you for your years of dedicated service to the school district! 🦅

Congratulations, Mrs. Sabrina Reese! We appreciate you!
