We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the Mountain View VFW Post 3009. On Tuesday evening, they generously donated $1,000 to support our Back to School Kickoff. Thank you, VFW, for your unwavering commitment to our community and for always stepping up to make a difference. Your support means the world to us!
We wanted to inform you that the location of our Back to School Kick-off has been changed from the football field to Liberty High School. The event will still take place this evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and you are welcome to drop in anytime during these hours.
In addition to meeting our teachers and reconnecting with friends, several vendors will be set up in the gym to welcome you back to the 2024-25 school year. We encourage you to join us and not let the rain or the location change keep you away!
We look forward to seeing you there!
LHS athletic events will once again have Game Time Radio. If you would like to have a sponsor commercial, or be a single sponsor for an event please let us know. There are several levels of sponsorship and commercials per contest. If you want more information please shoot me an email.

🚗 Dear Parents, We’re excited to announce a new pick-up system designed to alleviate the congestion we've been experiencing on Old Highway 60. In the past, traffic has often backed up, blocking our buses and causing significant delays. Our new system aims to keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensure the safety of all students. Here's what you need to know: - Route:Please refer to the attached map for the designated route. Parents will enter through the east entrance and stay to the left as they proceed around the back parking lot. - Pick-Up Location:Students will now be picked up at the doors to the sixth-grade hallway. This location is on the side of the middle school, ensuring that all vehicles stay off Old Highway 60. - Important Note:The front parking lot will be closed for pick-up. To help you navigate this new system, there will be clear signage posted around the school. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we implement this new system. Together, we can make drop-off and pick-up times safer and more efficient for everyone. Thank you for your continued support! Sincerely, Liberty Middle School Administration

**Exciting News for Our Band Program! 🎶**
We are thrilled to announce that our very own "Superman," Mr. McAfee, will be taking on an additional role as our new Band Teacher next year! 🎺🥁
Many of you know Mr. McAfee as the mastermind behind our successful technology department, but did you know he’s also a passionate musician? In high school, he played the tuba as part of the Liberty Eagles band, and now he's bringing that same energy and dedication to lead our band program.
With his big vision and love for music, we're confident Mr. McAfee will help our band soar to new heights! And don’t worry, he’ll still be keeping our tech running smoothly, with Mason Tharp assisting in the technology department.
**We invite you to take a trip down memory lane and try to spot Mr. McAfee in some old Liberty High School band photos!** You might even recognize other familiar faces from our school and community.
Please join us in supporting Mr. McAfee as he takes on this exciting new challenge. Let’s make this a year to remember for our band students!
We are excited to announce that Southern Missouri Community Health Center 's dental mobile unit will be at the Back to School Kick-off to do dental check-ups! Be sure to stop by and see them! (no insurance card needed)
The Mountain View-Birch Tree FFA is excited to announce that they have received a year long Living to Serve Grant from the National FFA. With this grant they will be addressing hunger by raising a few pigs to provide fresh pork and fresh eggs from our animals that are located on our school farm. These food items will be given to our local students and community members who are in need throughout the school year.
If you need to catch your child up on their immunizations, make sure to stop by the mobile immunization clinic at the Back to School Kickoff. The Howell County Health Department's Mobile Clinic will be at the football field to make it easy for you!
